Buses also operate between Vinnytsia and Chisinau, but they arrive at the bus station according to the operator’s schedule.

Route via Mohyliv-Podilskyi and the Moldovan Border

In Ukraine, the route follows the M21 highway, also designated E583 in the international road network. From Vinnytsia, the road heads south towards Mohyliv-Podilskyi. There are gas stations and roadside cafés along the M21, so you can stop for coffee or a snack before the border. Simply let the driver know when you want a break. Mohyliv-Podilskyi is located on the Dniester River, which forms the border with Moldova here. Otaci lies directly across the river, and a bridge connects the two towns.

We choose the border checkpoint based on traffic conditions on your travel date. The main crossing is in Mohyliv-Podilskyi, with Otaci on the Moldovan side. An alternative is the Bronnytsia checkpoint, opposite the Moldovan village of Unguri. Before departure, our manager checks conditions at both crossings and recommends one of them. Both checkpoints accommodate passenger cars, so the choice depends on the queues.

Documents are usually checked while you remain inside the vehicle. You do not need to cross the Dniester River on foot.

On the Moldovan side, the car joins the M2 highway. This is one of Moldova’s main roads, connecting the north of the country with its capital. The road continues towards Chisinau, where the driver takes you through the city to your specified address.

Payments in Moldova are made in Moldovan lei, so you may want to exchange hryvnias or euros beforehand or in Chisinau. Moldova and Ukraine use the same local time, so you do not need to adjust your watch.

Vinnytsia to Chisinau Airport: Departures and Arrivals at KIV

Chisinau Airport (KIV) is located on the southeastern outskirts of Chisinau, from 13 to 15 km from the city center. It is Moldova’s main international airport.

We calculate your pickup time in Vinnytsia by working backward from your flight departure time. You only need to provide the exact departure time, and our manager will handle the calculations. We start with the check-in time recommended by your airline. Then we add the journey from the border to the terminal and extra time for crossing the Dniester River. Finally, we include the drive from Vinnytsia to Mohyliv-Podilskyi. These time allowances determine when the vehicle should arrive outside your home.

Morning flights may require a nighttime departure from Vinnytsia. Another option is to arrive in Chisinau the previous day and stay overnight near the airport. Our manager will explain both options, and you can decide which suits you. If you choose an overnight stay, the driver will take you to your hotel instead of the terminal.

If you are arriving by plane, the driver will meet you in the arrivals area at Chisinau Airport (KIV). We track your flight, so if the plane is delayed, the driver will wait longer. Please provide your flight number and arrival date when booking.

Price per Vehicle, Not per Passenger

Shared minibuses operate between Vinnytsia and Chisinau, with each passenger purchasing an individual seat. Our pricing works differently: from 9,600 UAH covers the entire vehicle. When a family or several colleagues travel together, they can split the cost. Only the passengers in your group travel in the vehicle, without strangers sharing the ride.

The vehicle class affects the price. A sedan is sufficient for one or two passengers. A group of four with suitcases may prefer a minivan, with enough trunk space for their belongings. It is also convenient if you are bringing a stroller or luggage for an extended stay in Moldova.

You also decide when to stop during the journey. For example, you can take a break in Moldova after crossing the border. We include time for these stops in the schedule if you have a flight to catch.

Your pet will also need a veterinary passport on the Moldovan side, so keep it with your travel documents.
