Lviv is closer to the Polish border than Kyiv, so the Lviv to Wroclaw journey can be completed within one working day. The driver picks you up at your address in Lviv and takes you directly to your destination in Wroclaw. After crossing the border, the route follows the A4 motorway through Rzeszow, Tarnow, Krakow, Katowice and Opole. There are no transfers, and we fix the price before departure.
Lviv to Wroclaw: Distance, Travel Time and Price
The distance from Lviv to Wroclaw is approximately 595 km. You can check it using the della distance calculator. Without border waiting time, the journey takes approximately 6 hours.
Most of the journey follows the A4 motorway, which runs across southern Poland from the border all the way to Wroclaw. This means the driver does not need to take secondary roads, and you can travel smoothly from one city to another.
The price starts from 17,300 UAH. Our manager provides the exact amount before departure, and it remains unchanged until the end of the journey. Long border queues or several stops in Poland do not affect the price. You can pay by bank card.
The price depends on the number of passengers and the vehicle you choose. For larger groups, we offer a minivan instead of two passenger cars. It costs more than a sedan, but the total cost for the group is lower than booking two separate vehicles.
You decide where to stop. Whether you want coffee in Rzeszow or lunch in Krakow, you can arrange it directly with the driver during the journey. If you depart in the morning, the entire trip can be completed in one day, even with several breaks.
Parts of this route overlap with some of our other destinations. If you need to travel a shorter distance, explore our Lviv to Rzeszow transfer or Lviv to Krakow transfer. For trips to the Polish capital, we also offer a Lviv to Warsaw taxi.
Which Border Crossing to Choose: Krakovets, Shehyni or Rava-Ruska
There are three border crossings for passenger cars traveling from Lviv to Poland. Each has its own characteristics, so we discuss the most suitable checkpoint with you before your trip.
Krakovets (Korczowa). On the Polish side, this checkpoint is called Korczowa, and the A4 motorway begins immediately after the crossing. This makes it the most direct option for traveling to Wroclaw. After border control, the vehicle joins the motorway without taking detours.
Shehyni (Medyka). This checkpoint leads to Medyka in Poland, near Przemysl. From there, you need to travel a little further along local roads to reach the A4 motorway. This option is suitable when there is a long queue at Krakovets on your travel date.
Rava-Ruska (Hrebenne). On the Polish side, this checkpoint is called Hrebenne. It is located further north and leads towards the Lublin region. The route to Wroclaw through this crossing is longer, so we consider it a backup option.
It is impossible to predict exactly how long border control will take, so we do not guarantee a specific waiting time. Traffic is usually heaviest on Fridays, weekends and before public holidays. On these days, it is better to depart earlier. If you have a meeting or hotel check-in scheduled in Wroclaw, inform our manager, and we will calculate your departure time with an extra allowance. You complete all border procedures in the same vehicle that picked you up in Lviv.
Every passenger needs a valid international passport. If you are traveling with children, keep their documents inside the vehicle. A veterinary passport is required for a dog or cat.
Lviv to Wroclaw: Private Car or Train via Przemysl
A common way to reach Wroclaw without a car involves traveling by train. First, you take a train from Lviv to Przemysl. There, you complete border control and change to a Polish train heading to Wroclaw.
The main inconvenience of this option is the connection. At Przemysl railway station, you have to carry your suitcases from one train to another. For families with children or passengers traveling with several suitcases, this can be physically demanding. You also need to keep your luggage close during the journey, while in a private car, it remains in the trunk throughout the trip.
The second difference concerns departure times. Trains operate according to fixed schedules, so you have to plan your journey around them. We provide vehicle pickup at a time that suits you, even on a weekday morning.
The third difference is the final destination. The train arrives at Wroclaw railway station, from where you still need to reach your accommodation with your luggage. A private car transfer takes you directly to your chosen address, whether it is an apartment, hotel or office.
Therefore, traveling by train is suitable for passengers with little luggage and flexible schedules. A single vehicle providing door-to-door transportation is more convenient when you are traveling with luggage, children or a specific arrival time in mind.
For elderly passengers, the difference is also noticeable. Traveling from Lviv to Wroclaw by private car does not require climbing into train carriages or moving between platforms. The driver assists with boarding and loads your belongings into the vehicle.
Wroclaw Airport, Children and Large Luggage
Wroclaw Airport (WRO) is located from 10 to 12 km from the city center. We take you directly to the terminal without making an unnecessary stop in the city center.
To help you catch your flight, we calculate the departure time by working backward from your scheduled flight time. We consider the check-in time recommended by your airline, then add the journey and extra time for crossing the border. Please include your flight number and departure time in the booking request. If you are arriving at Wroclaw Airport, the driver can meet you outside the terminal and take you to Lviv. More information about journeys scheduled around flights is available on our airport transfer page.
We provide child car seats upon request. Please specify your child’s age in the booking request so that we can prepare a suitable seat. You can bring your own car seat at no additional charge. More information for families is available on our traveling with children page.
You can bring a dog or cat with you inside the vehicle. The cost of transporting a pet depends on its weight, so please specify your pet’s weight when booking.
If you have many suitcases, please inform us when booking. We do not impose a fixed limit on the number of suitcases, but the amount of luggage determines which vehicle we provide. Families traveling with large suitcases usually choose a minivan. You can see photos and passenger capacity details on our minivan page.
You can also bring a wheelchair or baby stroller. Please indicate whether it is foldable in your booking request, and we will take this into account when selecting the vehicle.
We also provide return journeys from Wroclaw to Lviv under the same conditions. We pick you up at your address, the price remains fixed, and you cross the border without changing vehicles. Explore our other cross-border routes on the private car transfers from Ukraine page.
To book your trip, provide your travel date, pickup address in Lviv and destination address in Wroclaw. We will call you back, confirm the details and fix the price. Night departures from Lviv are possible, but pickup times must be coordinated according to curfew restrictions. We recommend booking several days in advance, especially for Fridays and public holidays.
